unknown title, hoping for some spicing up.

I have been searching for ideas for my books, and I must warn you I am only the age of thirteen, and my works may not be as good as thousands of you out their. but my dream is to be a novelist, thriller to be specific.

here is an idea that I got from a moral that my father used to tell me. I do not know the time period so I might need to do tons of reseacrhing. it is that time where their were hardly no mail, they rode horses and carrages, (not sure how to spell that) and they worked very hard in the great plantations. hopefully that gives a good mindset for you. well, their is a mother and a wife, to a strong broad husband, is name is William Gustis, her name is Elizabeth Gustis, and her three children are, Jackson, eleven year old, Anna seven year old, and Brooklynn, three year old. now William, or Will, go's out on his yearly "long hunt" where he goes hunting for a long peroid of time, (they usually leave their families for about  a week to six months.) so, Elizabeth, takes on the duty to take care of the ranch, and watch full time for her three children. about the 32nd week of William is gone, a poisonous snake bites Elizabeth. (not knowing what kind yet) well she, has this huge yellow green vein, coming from her calf in which she had gotten bitten. leading to her heart. she knows she is dying, but she is forced to take care of the farm until, she has enoguh for her children so she coould die, knowing that her children are safe. after four days of her working very hard, her sleeve slips, and Jackson, sees the vein, and asks what it is. she holds him and tells him what had happened, he promises to take care of the children, and vows to help her. she finally has enough food and materials for her children to survive until her husband comes back. then in the middle of the night, and walks sorrowfully out into the barn to die. she trips, and hurts her calf, and her leg starts bleeding, but she crawled into the barn, as her vein starts pumping, she falls into a deep sleap without dreams, hoping the sleep will numb the pain of death. the next day she awakes! she started to cry aloud, she was still alive! she pulls down her ruffly sleeve and looks, the vein turned a deep red color, and was healing. (for she prayed last night) she runs to her house, and opens the door, Jackson, was crying as he walked out of her room, not even noticing his mother. he slips to the floor crying. but then she murmers to him, saying that she was alive and that God had saved her. the next day, William arrives home, oblivious to what has happened, he rushes to the house with all the money he had gotten from hunting. and notices Jackson and Elizabeth crying with joy. he asks Jackson what had happened, and he replies. "God is good." William left it at that. abut he knew somethign miraculous had happened. and I haven't really found the ending, but she survives and the family is restored.

any tips and other things you awesome writers might like to add?
