I watched a short interaction between my father-in-law (FIL) and mother-in-law (MIL) and I was moved to consider more to the book about my husband's family that I could write. My MIL and FIL are such great friends and their families are very tight. Last night was my niece's 10th birthday celebration and as usual, the immediate family came over (I use that term loosely as "immediate" family means something different to our culture than to others. It is not just mom/dad/grandpa/grandma.).

This is my first entry here and my first time here. And now that I am trying to type, I realize I need to cut my nails now rather than later. I joined this service with hopes to look at other people's ideas to inspire one of my own. I'd like to write about my experiences of being married to a Filipino-American man (or should I say "American-Filipino" man as people say I am more Filipino than he is though I am 100% Japanese) and his family since we've lived with his family for the past 8 years (much longer than I expected). Laundry is a big issue.
